06 March 2025 – SURIGAO CITY. The Inter-Agency Committee on Civil Registration and Vital Statistics of Surigao del Norte convened for the First Quarter Meeting of the calendar year 2025. The meeting focused on updates on civil registration by discussing initiatives to ensure data is effectively used to generate accurate and comprehensive vital statistics that are essential for national development planning, governance, and public policy. 

The IACCRVS meeting was held at the PPDO Conference Room, Surigao City, on 04 March 2025. Committee members attended the session, which was presided over by IACCRVS Chairperson OIC Virgilio G. Avelina, Jr. of PSA Surigao del Norte.  

Topics discussed and presented in the new business include the following: 
 

  • Batch Request System (BREQs) Users Update

  • Decentralized Copy Annotation Process (DeCAP) Updates

  • Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) Updates 

  • PSA CRS Online Appointment System for Civil Registry Documents 

 

Status of Submission of Civil Registry Documents CY 2024 

Moreover, Ms. Maria Elena Rose Trazares, Registration Officer II of PSA Surigao del Norte, responded to the issues and concerns raised by the body specifically on the online appointment system and batch request system. The concern regarding the data on vital statistics will be 
addressed at the second quarterly meeting on 05 May 2025. 


The conduct of quarterly IACCRVS meetings promotes cooperation and coordination among various government agencies, local government units, and stakeholders involved in civil registration and vital statistics.
