In celebration of the 35th Civil Registration Month, the Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) of Agsuan del Sur, in collaboration with the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Rosario, successfully conducted a motorcade on February 3, 2025 in Poblacion, Rosario, Agusan del Sur. This initiative was made possible with the cooperation of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), underscoring the importance of civil registration in ensuring every citizen’s right to identity.
The motorcade aimed to raise awareness about the significance of timely and accurate civil registration. It also served as a call for residents to register vital life events such as birth, marriage, and death, ensuring access to essential government services.
The Civil Registration Month is an important time for us to remind the public of their right to proper documentation. With the help of our local government and law enforcement agencies, we can ensure that every individual in Rosario is properly registered and recognized,” said Socarno O. Aquino MCR of Rosario, emphasizing the role of civil registration in nation-building.
PSA and LCROs encouraged all residents to participate in upcoming activities for the month-long celebration, including free birth registration, information campaigns, and mobile registration services.communities.
