The Provincial Statistical Office of Agusan del Sur Informs the Public, Government and Private Entities on the Acceptance of Digital National ID

21 June 2024 – Agusan del Sur. In a significant step towards digital transformation, the Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) of Agusan del Sur, through its Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) unit, has disseminated an important advisory on the acceptance of the Digital National ID. This advisory, distributed widely to the public, government agencies, and private entities, marks a fundamental step in modernizing identification processes across various sectors.

The Digital National ID is designed to serve as a secure and efficient tool for identification, streamlining access to services and reducing administrative burdens. The advisory provides detailed guidelines on how this new digital form of identification will be integrated and accepted across different platforms and services, ensuring a smooth transition for all stakeholders and Relying Parties (RPs).

For Agusanons already registered in the National ID system, the Digital National ID can be conveniently accessed on smartphones through the eGovPH application or by visiting the official website at national-id.gov.ph. This provides immediate convenience for conducting transactions anywhere, anytime. This initiative aligns with the broader national goal of fostering a digitally inclusive society, where services are more accessible, transparent, and efficient. The PSO encourages all entities to integrate the Digital National ID into their operations and welcomes the public to participate in the ongoing registration process

The PSO Agusan del Sur is actively conducting the PhilSys Step 2 Registration across all barangays and institutions in the province. This initiative aims to ensure that all residents can participate in this significant digital transformation, paving the way for a more inclusive and efficient identification system.
