2022 Community-Based Monitoring System Data Turnover Ceremony to the Monucipal Government of Carrascal, Surigao del Sur
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) of Surigao del Sur conducted the 2022 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Data Turnover Ceremony (DTC) to the Municipal Government of Carrascal on 23 May 2024. The venue was at the Seminar Hall, Baybay, Carrascal, Surigao del Sur. Carrascal is the eighth among the 10 participating Local Government Units (LGUs) in the province that received the 2022 CBMS data after its implementation.
The DTC was spearheaded by Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) Ruel L. Dres. It was attended by some PSA personnel, the municipality’s elected officials down to the barangay level, its department heads and some personnel, and guests from the Provincial Planning and Development Office, Department of the Interior and Local Government, and Department of Information and Communications Technology.
During the event, the highlights of the 2022 CBMS results were presented by CSS Dres. Some of the information he shared are the responding households, covered population, participating barangays, access to basic services, safety, household food insecurity, school attendance, labor force and employment, and disaster preparedness, among others. Then, it was succeeded by the signing of the data turnover agreement and handing over the data with the turnover symbol.
In response, Vice Mayor Jessie James T. Valle, who represented Mayor Vicente H. Pimentel III, expressed his gratitude as he delivered the acceptance message. Likewise, OIC-Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator, Casey Maureen A. Correos, comprehensively laid out their plans and programs for the CBMS data uses.
