Agusan del Sur Provincial Statistical Office Launches PhilSys Registration for Children Under 5 Years Old

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) takes another significant step in its mission to provide comprehensive registration services to Filipino citizens with the introduction of new features in the PhilSys Registration Client. As part of this initiative, PSA is pleased to announce the commencement of registration services tailored specifically for children aged 1 to 4 years old, enabling their enrollment in the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys).

This latest enhancement allows for the seamless registration of children under 5 years old through sequential registration at any PhilSys Registration Center. During the registration process, essential demographic information including full name, sex, birthday, place of birth, blood type, and address will be collected. Notably, the only biometric data captured from children will be a front-facing photograph.

To ensure a smooth registration process, parents or guardians will receive notifications on their mobile numbers, prompting them to visit a registration center one hundred eighty (180) days prior to their child's 5th birthday, on their child's 5th birthday, and one hundred eighty (180) days before their child's 6th birthday for the initial capture of biometric information.

Moreover, the PhilSys Number (PSN) of the child will be linked to the PSN of their parent or guardian during registration. It is imperative that the accompanying person is PhilSys-registered before proceeding with the registration of the child.

The parent or guardian must present his/her PhillD/ePhillD together with the identification and/or supporting document of the child. In case the parent is not of legal age or unavailable, the accompanying guardian must also present the following:
1.    PhillD/ePhillD;
2.    Authorization letter executed by the parent of child ;
3.    Identification and/or identification and/or supporting documents of the child.

In case both parents are deceased, the accompanying guardian must present the following:
1.    PhillD/ePhillD;
2.    Certificate of death/Report of Death of both parents of child; 3.Identification document and/or supporting documents of the child.

In the case of children under the care of an institution population, the accompanying guardian (head of the institution) must present the following:
1.    PhillD/ePhillD;
2.    Agency ID;
3.    Identification and/or supporting documents of the child.

For interested registrants, our PhilSys registration team is stationed at the following areas across Agusan del Sur as of February 26, 2024:
