Philippine Statistics Authority joins Bagong Pilipinas Serbsiyo Fair (BPSF)
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Surigao del Sur Provincial Statistical Office together with the Central Office Civil Registry System (CRS) Mobile Team took part in delivering public service during the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) held at De La Salle John Bosco College Bislig City Surigao del Sur on 21 and 22 June 2024. This initiative aims to accommodate the local constituents to receive public services from different government agencies.
At the BPSF, the PSA offered a comprehensive array of essential services to attendees, such as birth registration assistance, issuance of civil registry documents for birth, marriage, and cenomar, national ID registration, Transaction Reference Number (TRN) retrieval, digital ID generation assistance, and national ID demographic information correction. The PSA's presence ensured efficient processing of vital documents, enabling individuals to secure their legal identities promptly. The personnel provided personalized guidance and support throughout each service, emphasizing accuracy and accessibility. This initiative facilitated easier access to crucial government documents and underscored the PSA's commitment to enhancing public service delivery and promoting civic participation among the local constituents.
During the first day of BPSF held the PSA celebrated a significant milestone in the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP). The event marked the culmination of efforts to provide these four (4) individuals with their essential birth certificates, ensuring their legal identities are recognized and secured. With each beneficiary receiving their SECPA document. The documents were handed by the Local Government Officials together with the PSA Representatives, ANS Sittimazuin Hofileña and CSS Ruel L. Dres.
Also, during the first day, the CRS Mobile unit catered 135 clients, processing a total of 224 transactions related to civil registry documents. Concurrently, BRAP assisted 22 individuals for verification, successfully turning over five (5) SECPA documents. In line with the implementation of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), the PSA also addressed national ID demographic information corrections for 12 clients, including one registered child below five (5) years old and 45 clients aged five (5) years and above.
On the second day, the PSA continued to deliver essential services with efficiency and dedication. The Civil Registry System Mobile unit attended to 154 clients, processing a total of 309 transactions related to civil registry documents, ensuring that individuals received timely access to their records. Concurrently, BRAP listed 35 individuals for verification. As part of the PhilSys initiative, the PSA corrected demographic information for 20 clients seeking national ID updates, including one child below five (5) years old and 49 clients aged five (5) years and above.
These efforts underscored the PSA's ongoing commitment to accessible and accurate documentation services, reflecting its pivotal role in promoting citizen welfare and empowerment through effective public service delivery.
