04 February 2025 – SURIGAO DEL NORTE. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) continued efforts in implementing the inclusive identification system through the PhilSys mobile registration for the year 2025. The PhilSys aims to streamline transactions and simplify access to various government and private services. Filipinos who have yet to register are encouraged to visit the nearest registration center with the required supporting documents.

For children 1 to 4 years old, a parent or guardian who is already registered with PhilSys must be present and bring the child’s Certificate of Live Birth (COLB) issued by either the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) or the PSA. A PhilSys Number (PSN) will be assigned to the child and will be linked to the accompanying parent or guardian.

For children 5 to 14 years old, the school ID and COLB issued by either the LCRO or the PSA must be presented upon registration. If the child does not have a school ID, a barangay certification can suffice.

For individuals aged 15 and above, bring any government-issued ID, such as a driver’s license, passport, or SSS ID. If there is no valid ID available, a barangay certification and COLB issued by either the LCRO or the PSA must be presented upon registration.
In addition to address the needs of National ID holders, all PhilSys-registered Filipinos can access their Digital National ID through this link, national-id.gov.ph or via eGovPH mobile application. This provides access to services from the government and private institutions for individuals who may not have physical IDs.

PhilSys teams were deployed to various barangays throughout the province to make registration more accessible to Surigaonons. This initiative aims to reach out to communities, especially those in remote areas, and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to register for the National ID.
