The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Agusan del Sur successfully held the briefing for Statistical Researchers (SRs) on the Monthly Palay and Corn Situation Reporting System (MPCSRS) for August 2025. The activity took place at the Provincial Statistical Office on 30 July 2025 and was facilitated by Assistant Statistician Diane Grace A. Osico. A total of seven SRs participated in the event.

The briefing aimed to equip  SRs with the necessary knowledge and field operation procedures to conduct data collection using the Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) method. The MPCSRS data collection is scheduled from 01 to 05 August 2025, covering 170 sample households across the province.

The MPCSRS is conducted to generate timely and accurate estimates of palay and corn area and production for the current quarter, based on standing crop data. The results will be used by government planners, policymakers, and program developers to support strategic decision-making and improve agricultural initiatives nationwide.
