The independence that the Filipino citizen enjoy nowadays was the fruit of hard-fought campaign of our ancestors for the true freedom. In commemorating the hard won battles and cry of freedom, the Independence day was celebrated every 12th of June in each year.

In celebration of the 127th Independence Day on 12 June 2025 with the theme “Kalayaan, Kinabukasan, Kasaysayan”, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-Caraga Region spearheaded the Independence Day Job Fair- One Stop Shop Caravan at Robinson’s Place, Butuan City.

To show support in serving the Caraganons, the PSA-Agusan del Norte National ID Team joins the One Stop Shop Caravan to offer its services such as follows: (1) National ID Step 2 Registration; (2) Issuance of National ID in Paper; and (3) Retrieval of Transaction Slip. It is to ensure the satisfaction on bringing the services closer to the remaining unregistered job seekers during the event.

During the event, a total of 23 clients were served. Out of these, 11 clients successfully completed Step 2 registration process, seven (7) claimed their paper form National ID, and five (5) Transaction Reference Number (TRN) were retrieved. In addition, the National ID team addressed public inquiries to raise awareness about the role and importance of the National ID in daily life.

With unwavering dedication and commitment, the PSA-Agusan del Norte National ID Team continues to strive toward the full implementation of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) in the Caraga region. The team remains focused on reaching out to the remaining unregistered Caraganons by conducting targeted registration activities, mobile registration drives, and strategic partnerships with local government units and community stakeholders. These efforts are aimed at ensuring that every eligible resident has access to the benefits of having a National ID. By delivering fast, reliable, and inclusive services, the team plays a vital role in strengthening the integrity, accessibility, and efficiency of the National ID system — a cornerstone of improving public service delivery, promoting financial inclusion, and fostering national development.
