Provincial Statistical Office of Agusan del Sur initiated Public Awareness Campaign through Radio Broadcast during the Kick-off Activity for 2024 POPCEN-CBMS

15 July 2024– Agusan del Sur. Chief Statistical Specialist Demetrio T. Dejolde, Jr. of the Provincial Statistical Office of Agusan del Sur led an insightful discussion on the upcoming 2024 Census of Population (POPCEN) and Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) during a live radio interview, marking the official kick-off activity for these crucial data operation on July 15, 2024.

The interview highlighted the importance of accurate data collection for national development and emphasized the role of community engagement in ensuring the success of these operation. Mr. Dejolde, also shared insights on the methodologies to be used and encouraged local communities to actively participate in the census.

By fostering collaboration and transparency, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) aims to empower citizens and improve planning and resource allocation for local government units.
