05 March 2025 – SURIGAO CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority Surigao del Norte conducted the Provincial Level Training of the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS Geotagging of SFGP. This activity involves mapping the locations of essential service facilities and government projects, all aimed at improving data-driven governance and service delivery.
The Provincial Level Training for the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS Geotagging of SFGP was conducted on 24 to 27 February 2025 at Rejulzhalem EY Miner Suites, Surigao City. Eleven Map Data Collectors, three Team Supervisors, three Map Data Processors, and two Map Data Reviewers were hired and trained for the said undertaking.
The geotagging and listing of ongoing building constructions shall also be conducted jointly with the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS Geotagging of SFGP. The data that will be collected will be used to supplement the construction statistics released by the PSA, which are currently based solely on approved building permits filed with Local Building Officials across local government units nationwide.
For the seamless and orderly conduct of these joint activities, the support of all government agencies and private sectors is encouraged.
