PhilSys Registers 2.3 Million Caraganons

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - Caraga successfully registered 2,339,085 individuals to the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) or National ID as of June 30, 2024. This registration represents 83.4 percent of the region's total workload based on the 2020 Census of Population and Housing (CPH).

To boost registration since its commencement of operation in June 2021, the PSA employed several strategies including house-to-house visits, school-based registration, institutional collaborations, PhilSys-On-Wheels, and Purok/Barangay mobile registration. These efforts were carried out in partnership with the Local Government Units (LGUs), National Government Agencies (NGAs), academic institutions and the private sector.
