"Philippine Statistics Authority Dinagat Islands Conducts Provincial-Level Training for Data and Map Processing as part of POPCEN-CBMS"
One of the essential procedures in the phases of Census of Population and Community- Based Monitoring System (POPCEN-CBMS) following the collection of the household data is map and data processing. This step is crucial for ensuring the quality and accuracy of geotagged buildings and statistical data, as emphasized in Rule II of the Republic Act No. 11315 Implementing Rules and Regulations. Processing and validation are necessary to identify and to address any potential errors, anomalies, and inconsistencies in the collected during the enumeration phase of POPCEN-CBMS. Furthermore, the processed and validated data is used to navigate and identify which households in the community are mostly in need of government-developed programs.
With that, the Philippine Statistics Authority Dinagat Islands conducted provincial-level training for five (5) data processor and three (3) Map Data processor of POPCEN-CBMS map and data processing on 2024 POPCEN-CBMS data and Map processing from 3-7 September 2024. The training was held at the FRC bldg. Aurelio, San Jose, Dinagat Islands.
