25 April 2025 – DEL CARMEN, SURIGAO DEL NORTE. In collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the International Labor Organization (ILO), the Philippine Statistics Authority Surigao del Norte offered National ID services during the Cash-for- Training on the Risk Resiliency Program in the Municipality of Del Carmen.
On 24 and 25 April 2025, the National ID registration team of PSA Surigao del Norte provided services to the individuals in Barangay Del Carmen, Municipality of Del Carmen. The registration for the National ID lays the groundwork for a more efficient and inclusive system, making it easier for citizens in Surigao del Norte to access a wide range of essential services.
In addition to offering a trustworthy and verifiable means of identification, the National ID system aims to make daily interactions easier and foster a more equitable and secure environment for all. The activity served a total of 28 registrants, 22 of whom were aged 5 and above, and 6 were between the ages of 0 and 4. The program beneficiaries also received assistance in generating digital IDs and printing the paper form of their national identification.
The effectiveness of the National ID registration and similar service initiatives depends on a lot more factors than just the amount of registrations or processing time. It is the lasting, positive impact these services have on the community.
