The economy of Agusan del Sur grew by 2.6 percent in 2023 from its 2022 level, slower than the 6.7 percent growth in the previous year. This represents an increase in the value of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) from PhP 74.21 billion in 2022 to PhP 76.14 billion in 2023. (Figure 1)

 

 

Among the 16 industries, fastest growth was observed in Accommodation and food service activities with 18.2 percent. This was followed by Other services with growth of 17.9 percent, and Public administration and defense; compulsory social security with growth of 10.5 percent. On the other hand, Manufacturing and Agriculture, forestry, and fishing posted declines of 3.1 percent and 1.7 percent, respectively. (Figure 2)
