Digital National ID is now accessible to All PhilSys-registered Filipinos

27 September 2024 – SURIGAO DEL NORTE. The Philippine Statistics Authority continued efforts in implementing the inclusive identification system through the Digital National ID. This provides access to services from the government and private institutions for individuals who may not have physical IDs.

All PhilSys-registered Filipinos can access their Digital National ID through this link, national-id.gov.ph or via eGovPH mobile application. To generate your Digital National ID, kindly follow these easy steps:

1.    Open your internet browser and type on the website https://national- id.gov.ph

2.    Click the "Proceed" button to provide "Consent" to PSA to use your demographic information and facial image to authenticate.

3.    In the designated fields, type your First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, and your Date of Birth.

4.    Scroll down and click the "Continue" button.

5.    Click on the "Start Liveness" button to begin the facial authentication.

6.    Once verified, you can now proceed to view your Digital National ID by clicking on the "View National ID" button.

7.    Click on the "Download Digital ID" button to obtain a personal copy of your Digital National ID.

Pursuant to paragraph 3 of Section 19(b) of Republic Act No. 11055, otherwise known as the Philippine Identification System Act, the production or issuance of National lDs without the express authority from the Philippine Statistics Authority is considered a punishable offense. The printing the Digital National lDs in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) cards is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

The Digital National IDs have the potential to revolutionize the way Filipinos transact with the government and businesses, providing increased efficiency and security.
