2022 Community-Based Monitoring System Data Turnover Ceremony in the Municipal Government of Tago, Surigao del Sur
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) of Surigao del Sur conducted the 2022 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Data Turnover Ceremony (DTC) to the Municipal Government of Tago on 12 April 2024. The venue was at the Annex Building, Municipal Hall, Tago, Surigao del Sur. Tago is the fourth among the 10 participating Local Government Units (LGUs) in the province, that received the 2022 CBMS data after its implementation.
The DTC was spearheaded by Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) Ruel L. Dres and attended by some PSA personnel, the municipality’s elected officials down to barangay level, its department heads and some personnel, and guests from the Provincial Planning and Development Office, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Department of Information and Communications Technology, and Philippine Information Agency.
During the event, the highlights of the 2022 CBMS results were presented by CSS Dres. Some of the information he shared are the responding households, covered population, participating barangays, access to basic services, safety, household food insecurity, school attendance, labor force and employment, and disaster preparedness, among others. Then, it was succeeded by the signing of the data turnover agreement and handing over the data with the turnover symbol.
In response, Executive Assistant Clint Ernest P. Lagman, who represented Mayor Betty E. Pimentel, emotionally expressed his gratitude and anticipation as he delivered the acceptance message. Likewise, Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator Jubert D. Tutor elaborated their approach on how to secure their database and pronounced the importance of the CBMS data as inputs to their local level plans and programs.
