PSA Agusan del Sur Conducted a Third Level Training on November 2023 Monthly Palay and Corn Situation Report (MPCSR) Survey

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) of Agusan del Sur conducted a third level training on November 2023 Monthly Palay and Corn Situation Report (MPCSR). The survey primarily aims to update the estimates of the current quarter based on the standing crop of the area and the production of palay across the province. These estimates are subject to changes depending on weather conditions, inputs and outputs, prices, and other factors which has significant contribution to the deviations of the actual data from the early estimates. It is considered vital to closely monitor the crop's growing conditions.

The survey is conducted in the first five (5) days on the months of February, March, May, June, August, September, and November. The Third Level Training was conducted on October 31, 2023 at the PSO – Agusan del Sur’s Philsys Office. It was also participated by the hired Statistical Researchers, Contract of Service Workers (COSW’s) and Assistant Statistician Argie S. Gortifacion who acted as a trainer. Field data collection activities are scheduled on November 1 to 10, 2023. The selected sample respondents will be visited and interviewed in all sample barangays from different municipalities in the province.

All the information collected by the hired Statistical Researchers from sample farmers shall be kept strictly confidential and shall not be used for purposes of taxation, investigation or regulation as provided under Article 55 of RA 10625.
