Third Level Training on Monthly Palay and Corn Situation Report (MPCSR) & Rice and Corn Stocks Survey (RCSS): Household and Commercial – May 2024

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - Agusan del Sur successfully conducted the third level training for the May 2024 Monthly Palay and Corn Situation Report (MPCSR) & Rice and Corn Stocks Survey (RCSS): Household and Commercial on April 29, 2024. The training, held at PSO-Agusan del Sur, was attended by eight (8) Statistical Researchers.

The primary objective of the MPCSR survey is to update the estimates of the current quarter based on standing area and production of palay and corn across the province. Meanwhile, the RCSS aims to generate rice and corn stocks inventories in both farming and non-farming households in the province, as well as in commercial establishments. The MPCSR sample consists of 100 households for palay and 75 households for corn while the RCSS sample consists of 351 households and 96 establishment. These surveys will be conducted from May 1 to 10, 2024.

The selected sample respondents will be visited and interviewed in all sample barangays from different municipalities in the province. All the information collected by the hired Statistical Researchers from sample farmers shall be kept strictly confidential and shall not be used for purposes of taxation, investigation or regulation as provided under Article 55 of RA 10625.
