12 June 2025 – SURIGAO CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority Surigao del Norte joins the whole nation in celebrating the 127th Independence Day, held on 12 June 2025, at the Surigao City Hall grounds. Leading the ceremony were Vice Mayor Alfonso S. Casurra and Governor Robert Lyndon S. Barbers, who both honored the value of unity in defending the freedom our national heroes fought for.

We recognize that true independence is rooted in empowered citizens and informed decisions. Our data paints the picture of our progress, highlights areas for growth, and helps shape policies that uplift the lives of Filipinos.
