Commercial Livestock and Poultry Survey (CLPS) is a regular quarterly survey conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority which aims to generate estimates on inventory, supply and disposition, and other related data of livestock and poultry commodities from commercial farms. The unit of enumeration for CLPS are livestock and poultry farms with commercial type of operation. 

The CLPS for swine, carabao, cattle, goat, chicken, chicken-egg, duck and duck-egg is conducted during the last 10 days of the reference quarter. The production data generated from these surveys are direct inputs to the valuation of production in Philippine agriculture and fisheries, and accordingly to the computation of Gross Domestic Product. Moreover, the survey supports the data needs of planners, policy and decision makers, and other stakeholders in the agriculture sector.

For the reference period, collection of data will be undertaken by hired Statistical Researchers (SRs) on March 21-31, 2022 with an expected output of three sample farms per day through face-to-face interview with the SRs strictly following precautionary measures against the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) such as social distancing, use of face mask and face shield, among others. The SRs will be supervised by a regular staff of the PSA provincial/regional office to ensure the correctness of responses of the sample commercial farms interviewed.

All the data collected from the sample farms shall be kept strictly confidential and shall not be used for purposes of taxation, investigation or regulation as provided under Article 55 of RA 10625.
