PSA Caraga Kicks-Off the 2024 Census of Population and Community-Based Monitoring System Barangay Profile Quiestionnaire Data Collection amd Service Facilities and Government Projects Listings
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Caraga is pleased to announce the simultaneous conduct of the 2024 Census of Population (POPCEN) and the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS). This collaborative effort serves as a cost-efficient approach by the agency, primarily aimed at updating the population counts and social registries of the Philippines. Part of the activities to be conducted for the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS are the Barangay Profile Questionnaire (BPQ) Data Collection and Service Facilities and Government Projects (SFGP) Listing.
The 2024 POPCEN-CBMS BPQ Data Collection and SFGP Listing aims to collect information on the characteristics of the barangays such as the types of facilities and establishments present in the barangay, gather an initial list of service facilities and government projects from barangays, cities/municipalities that will serve as references in the geotagging operations of the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS and will be used to prepare a compendium of localized facts, figures, and maps on the different dimensions of poverty. The listing of the government projects also intends to account for the Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPA) in the Barangay, City, and Municipal Local Government Units (LGUS) during the past three years.
In line with this, the PSA strongly encourages all Barangay, City, and Municipal LGUs to actively participate in the conduct of the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS BPQ Data Collection and SFGP Listing and provide accurate and updated information to the PSA. Before the data collection, the PSA personnel will conduct an orientation to discuss further details necessary for this undertaking. This activity will be undertaken from 20 May 2024 to 19 June 2024 in all provinces of the region.
The PSA guarantees the confidentiality of all collected data, strictly adhering to the provisions of Republic Act No. 10625, also known as the Philippine Statistical Act of 2013.
