PSA Agusan del Sur conducts the January 2024 Labor Force Survey (LFS) and 2023 Family Income and Expenditure (FIES) Visit 2 Third Level Training

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is conducting the January 2024 Labor Force Survey (LFS) and the 2023 Family Income and Expenditure Survey (2023 FIES) Visit 2. The LFS aims to assess the socioeconomic and demographic characteristics of the province. On the other hand, FIES is a survey on family income and expenditure of households undertaken by PSA across the country. It is the main source of data on family income and expenditure in the Philippines. The government planner, decision-makers, and administrators will utilize the gathered data to create labor market-related plans, policies, and programs for social and economic growth.

A Third Level Training was held by the Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) - Agusan del Sur in preparation for the January 2024 LFS and the 2023 FIES Visit 2. Six (6) Team Supervisors (TS) and fifty (50) Statistical Researchers (SR) attended this training at Mabe's Savory Place in San Francisco, Agusan del Sur from January 3 to 9, 2024. They are provided with methodologies and insights that are essential for accurate data collection and analysis.

Following the training is the field data collection of the Statistical Researchers from January 10 to 31, 2024. By providing accurate and comprehensive responses to the statistical inquiries, PSA encourages the respondents' cooperation and support in carrying out the aforementioned surveys. Additionally, PSA guarantees that all information collected would be kept confidential in accordance with Section 26 of Republic Act No. 10625, known as the "Philippine Statistical Act of 2013."
