PSA - Agusan del Sur Conducts the 2024 Occupational Wages Survey (OWS) and 2023/2024 Integrated Survey on Labor and Employment (ISLE)
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) begins the nationwide data collection for the 2024 Occupational Wages Survey (OWS) and 2023/2024 Integrated Survey on Labor and Employment (ISLE). The Occupational Wages Survey (OWS) measures the wage differential across occupations and industries in the country. It likewise determines inequalities in typically low-wage and high-wage occupations among workers. On the other hand, the Integrated Survey on Labor and Employment (ISLE) is a modular survey that integrates concerns related to employment, workers’ welfare and protection and labor relations. For the Province of Agusan del Sur, these surveys will cover seventy (70) establishments employing 10 or more workers until the end of 2024.
The OWS and the ISLE are biennial establishment-based surveys simultaneously conducted every two (2) years by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). As joint surveys, both the 2024 OWS and 2023/2024 ISLE have the same samples, i.e., establishments employing 10 or more workers, same survey design adopted and same operational strategies implemented during field operations. The simultaneous conduct of the 2024 OWS and the 2023/2024 ISLE is being implemented for cost efficiency purposes and to lessen respondents’ burden.
All the information collected by the hired Statistical Researchers from sample establishment shall be kept strictly confidential and shall not be used for purposes of taxation, investigation or regulation as provided under Article 55 of RA 10625.
