PSA-Agusan del Norte Fixed Registration Center Now Offers Updating Services for Demographic Information in the National ID

Section 11 of Republic Act Number 11055 or “Philippine Identification System Act” states that “in case of change in any entries in the information collected and stored under the PhilSys, citizens or resident aliens shall update their registration information in the manner to be specified by the PSA.” Therefore, the Philippine Statistics Authority began the gradual rollout of the Updating of Demographic Information in the National ID system in selected provinces.

In connection to this, the Philippine Statistics Authority- Agusan del Norte Fixed Registration Center (FRC) open its door for the Filipino citizens and local residents who seek to update their registration information. The Updating Services allow the change of entries or correction of clerical and/or typographical errors such as name, sex, date of birth, place of birth, blood type, permanent/present address, and marital status.

Genalyn Ucat Aresala, resident of P-3 Brgy. Sumile, Butuan City availed the updating services for the correction of entry in her Surname.

Mischel L. Bayaban, successfully updated her name in her National ID.

“Walay problema ug paspas ang akoang pagpacorrect sa akoa name”. she said.
