Provincial Level Training on Monthly Palay and Corn Situation Report (MPCSR) & Rice and Corn Stocks Survey (RCSS): Household and Commercial – August 2024

30 July 2024- Agusan del Sur. The Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) of Agusan del Sur successfully conducted the provincial level training for the August 2024 Monthly Palay and Corn Situation Report (MPCSR) and the Rice and Corn Stocks Survey (RCSS): Household and Commercial on July 30. The training took place at PSO-Agusan del Sur and attended by eight dedicated Statistical Researchers.

The primary objective of the MPCSR survey is to update the estimates for the current quarter based on the standing area and production of palay and corn across the province. Meanwhile, the RCSS aims to generate inventories of rice and corn stocks in both farming and non-farming households, as well as in commercial establishments within the province. The MPCSR sample includes 100 households for palay and 75 households for corn, while the RCSS sample comprises 351 households and 96 establishments. These surveys are scheduled to be conducted from August 1 to 10.

All information collected by the hired Statistical Researchers from the sample farmers will be kept strictly confidential and will not be used for purposes of taxation, investigation, or regulation, in accordance with Article 55 of RA 10625.
