Local Government Unit (LGU) San Luis facilitates the Convening of the Municipal Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Coordinating Board

The Agusan del Sur Provincial Statistical Office demonstrated its proactive involvement in the preparation for the upcoming 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) during a recent coordination meeting convened by the LGU San Luis. Chaired by the Municipal Mayor Hon. Ronald Y. Corvera and represented by Municipal Administrator Jean Bascon, the meeting saw active participation from various stakeholders on 06 February 2024 at the SB Session Hall, San Luis, Agusan del Sur.

Senior Statistical Specialist (SrSS) Vic F. Notarion led the presentation, highlighting key aspects of the 2024 CBMS agenda. Notably, it was emphasized that the funding for the CBMS would be fully covered by the National Government. However, recognizing the importance of LGU assistance in ensuring the success of the endeavor, SrSS Notarion underscored the need for collaborative efforts, especially considering the municipality's geographical complexities.

Senior Statistical Specialist Vic F. Notarion presents the provisional agenda during the board meeting at the SB Session Hall, San Luis, Agusan del Sur on 06 February 2024.

During the presentation, SrSS Notarion delineated the roles and responsibilities of each board member and outlined a matrix detailing potential assistance that could be provided. It was clarified that while the LGU's provision of additional support is not mandatory, it is strongly encouraged to prevent any gaps during data collection and processing.

Each member of the board present expressed unanimous agreement and eagerness to extend full support for the conduct of the 2024 CBMS. Recognizing the pivotal role they play, they pledged to uphold quality assurance standards and actively participate in enumeration activities within their respective jurisdictions.
