2022 Community-Based Monitoring System Data Turnover Ceremony to the City Government of Madrid, Surigao del Sur
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) of Surigao del Sur conducted the 2022 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Data Turnover Ceremony (DTC) to the Municipal Government of Madrid on 21 June 2024. The venue was at the Convention Center, Barangay Linibonan, Madrid, Surigao del Sur. Madrid is the ninth among the 10 participating Local Government Units (LGUs) in the province that received the 2022 CBMS data after its implementation.
The DTC was spearheaded by the Provincial Focal Person, Senior Statistical Specialist (SSS) Lovervelle C. Olaco, who represented Chief Statistical Specialist Ruel L. Dres. It was attended by some PSA personnel, the municipality’s elected officials down to the barangay level, its department heads and some staff.
During the event, the highlights of the 2022 CBMS results were presented by SrSS Olaco. Some of the information she shared are the responding households, covered population, participating barangays, access to basic services, safety, household food insecurity, school attendance, labor force and employment, and disaster preparedness, among others. Then, it was succeeded by the signing of the data turnover agreement and handing over the data with the turnover symbol.
In response, Hon. Juan Paolo L. Lopez, expressed his gratitude as he delivered the acceptance message. Likewise, Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator, Myrna U. Sullano, comprehensively laid out their plans and programs for the CBMS data security and uses.
