The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Agusan del Norte recently conducted the third level training for the July 2025 Labor Force Survey and 2025 Family Income and Expenditure Survey Visit 1 (LFS-FIES). The two activities are nationwide household-based surveys conducted by the PSA. The LFS gathers key demographic and socio-economic data to monitor major labor market indicators such as employment, unemployment, and labor force participation. Meanwhile, the 2025 FIES collects detailed information on family income and expenditure to assess income distribution, living conditions, poverty incidence, and to update the Consumer Price Index (CPI) weights.

To carry out this activity, 12 Team Supervisors (TS) and 102 Statistical Researchers (SRs) were hired to collect data from 3,165 sample households within Butuan City and Agusan del Norte. These hired personnel underwent training on 30 June to 7 July 2025, at Balanghai Hotel and Convention Center, Butuan City. Data collection will be conducted from 8 to 31 July 2025, using the Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) method.

PSA-Agusan del Norte strongly encourages all sampled households to actively participate in the survey by providing accurate and truthful information for data-driven policy on poverty reduction.

The agency assures respondents that all information gathered by the SRs will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and will not be used for purposes of taxation, investigation, or regulation, in accordance with Article 55 of Republic Act No. 10625.
