The Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office XIII (Caraga) will conduct a Regional Dissemination Forum on the 2023 Full Year Official Poverty Statistics based on the preliminary results of the 2023 Family Income and Expenditure Survey. The event is scheduled on 30 October 2024 (Wednesday), 9:00 AM at Almont Hotel and Inland Resort, Butuan City.
The Regional Dissemination Forum on the 2023 Full Year Official Poverty Statistics aims to ensure a better understanding of the official poverty statistics among local planners and stakeholders, improve awareness of the poverty estimates among local planners, and stakeholders for evidence-based planning and programming, and establish appropriate analysis on the relation of the income statistics and price statistics to the official poverty statistics. Additionally, it will inform participants about the region's 2023 poverty estimates, which will serve as inputs for policymaking, program planning, and monitoring. It will also aid in the evaluation of various government programs and interventions for the region.
The forum's resource persons and discussants will include PSA officials and representatives from the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. Moreover, the invited participants include regional line agencies, local government units, academe, private sector representatives, and media partners.
