The Philippine Statistics Authority – Caraga recorded a total of 1,756,210 successful registrants for the PhilSys Step 2 registration as of June 30, 2022. This comprises 71.0% of the region’s 2021 total projected population 5 years old and over.

The number of registrants from the five (5) provinces of the region since its operation in June 2021 is broken down as follows:

• Agusan del Norte (including Butuan City)  - 519,581

• Agusan del Sur         - 510,871

• Surigao del Norte      - 306,359

• Surigao del Sur         - 339,030

• Dinagat Islands          - 80,369

Based on the target per province, the Province of Agusan del Sur recorded the highest number of registrants among the five (5) provinces. PSA Caraga continuously employ different strategies for the Step 2 Registration operation including the conduct of mobile registration in coordination with the Local Government Units, the National Government Agencies and the private sector.
