The Philippine Statistics Authority RSSO XIII was awarded with the Safety Seal last 5 October 2021. The Inspection and Certification Team was composed of Ms. Marissa M. Mones of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) - Butuan City, Mr. Winfel Villaruel from the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Mr. Eric Gayon from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

 

The Safety Seal Certification Program is an inter-agency effort among the DILG, Department of Health (DOH), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Tourism (DOT), and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) which aims to (1) assure the consumers and the general public of an establishments' conformity with the minimum public health standards set by the government; (2) to encourage the adoption of the StaySafe.ph digital contact tracing application to strengthen the contact tracing initiative of the government and effectively contain the spread of COVID-19; and (3) to safely reopen the economy. Establishments who are considered compliant after the conduct of the inspection are awarded with the safety seal with a 6 months validity period. The seal is to be displayed conspicuously at all entrance points according to prescribed dimensions. 

 

Immediately after the inspection, the team awarded the Safety Seal Certification to PSA Caraga. Said award was received by PSA Caraga Regional Director Rosalinda C. Apura, together with Chief Administrative Officer Bernadeth I. Bonachita and Chief Statistical Specialist Melchor B. Bautista.
