Maternal Health Care in Caraga: 2017

Overall, 96.0 percent of women age 15-49 years old in the region received Antenatal care (ANC) from a skilled provider for their most recent birth (Figure 1). Skilled providers include doctors, nurses, and midwives. Midwives were the most common service providers (60.7 percent), followed by doctors (21.9 percent), and nurses (12.5 percent). Only 1.6 percent of women did not receive any ANC.

PSA gears up for 2017 National Demographic and Health Survey

The 2017 NDHS is the eleventh in a series of national demographic and health surveys undertaken in the Philippines since 1968. This is a national sample survey designed to provide information on population, family planning, maternal and child health, child survival, HIV/AIDS, and reproductive health in the Philippines.
