The Philippine Statistics Authority – Caraga joined the 8th Leg ButuanOn Wheels on August 5, 2023, held at Barangay Los Angeles, Butuan City. In support, PSA Caraga conducted mobile registration for the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys). During the event, the PSA Caraga team assisted nine (9) clients with diverse PhilID-related queries, successfully registering four (4) individuals, including an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) who has yet to register. After registration, PhilSys personnel issued ePhilIDs to the registrants.
PSA personnel also provided consultation regarding civil registry documents and assisted unregistered individuals in completing their birth registration process through the Philsys Birth Registration Assistance Project (PBRAP) they were able to serve forty-four (44) clients with queries and listed seventy-seven (77) individuals for birth verification.
Other activities during the said event include medical check-up, dental check-up, free medicine distribution, circumcision, business consultation, haircut, and massage. These services were available to Barangay Los Angeles residents and nearby communities like Barangay Santo Niño, Bao-baoan, and Barangay Sumilihon.
