The Philippine Statistics Authority will conduct the quarterly Crops Production Survey (CrPS) in all provinces of the region. The field enumeration for the Third Quarter 2021 CrPS will be undertaken from 19-31, August 2021.
The Philippine Statistics Authority will conduct the July 2021 Round of Palay Production Survey (PPS) and Corn Production Survey (CPS) simultaneously in all provinces of the region this coming July 1-10, 2021.
The Backyard Livestock and Poultry Survey (BLPS) is one of the major agricultural surveys conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). The quarterly survey aims to generate estimates on inventory, number of animals disposed, average farmgate price, egg production of poultry animals, milk production of dairy animals and other related data of livestock and poultry commodities at the household level.
The Commercial Livestock and Poultry Survey (CLPS) is one of the major agricultural surveys conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). The quarterly survey aims to generate estimates on inventory, supply and disposition, and other related data of livestock and poultry commodities from commercial farms. For July 2021 round, collection of data for CLPS will be conducted on June 21-30 2021.
Caraga’s total palay production in 2020 increased by 12.01 percent from 449,369.83 metric tons in 2019 to 503,330.88 metric tons in 2020. The acceleration of production was attributed by the increase of 7.36 percent in area harvested. Total area harvested in 2020 was estimated at 156,073 hectares which was 10,706 hectares higher compared with last year’s level of 145,367 hectares. Likewise, the yield per hectare increased by 4.21 percent from 3.09 metric tons per hectare in 2019 to 3.22 metric tons per hectare in 2020.
This publication presents the data on volume and value of production of fisheries in Caraga during the three-year period. It contains information by major species of the three (3) fisheries subsectors, namely: commercial and municipal fisheries, and aquaculture. It shows the fisheries statistics from the four (4) fisheries surveys regularly conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). The surveys are: Quarterly Commercial Fisheries Survey (QCFS), Quarterly Municipal Fisheries Survey (QMFS), Quarterly Inland Fisheries Survey (QIFS) and Quarterly Aquaculture Survey (QAqS).
The Philippine Statistics Authority will conduct the April 2021 Round of Palay Production Survey (PPS) and Corn Production Survey (CPS) simultaneously in all provinces of the region this coming April 1-10, 2021. The production data generated from the survey are direct inputs to the Performance Report in Agriculture and Fisheries and to the computation of Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Moreover, the said reports support the data needs of planners, policy and decision makers, and other stakeholders in the agriculture sector especially palay and corn farmers and the general public.
One of the continuing surveys conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is the Quarterly Fisheries Survey. The survey aims to generate volume and value of production on Commercial Fisheries, Marine Municipal Fisheries, Inland Fisheries and Aquaculture production by species and by quarter at the national, regional and provincial level. The statistics generated through the conduct of quarterly fisheries surveys serves as an input to the compilation of national accounts, estimation of performance of agriculture, researches and studies, policy making and program implementation.
