Summary Inflation Report Consumer Price Index in Caraga (2012=100): February 2019

Caraga's Consumer Price Index for all items in Caraga region increase by 3.30 percent from 115.3 in February 2018 to 119.1 in the same month of 2019. All of the commodity groups except for Transport and Education posted an increment in price in February 2019 compared with the price in February 2018. Similarly, CPI for all items in February 2019 slightly increased by 0.08 percent from 118.6 in December 2018.

Summary Inflation Report Consumer Price Index in Caraga (2012=100): January 2019

Caraga's Consumer Price Index for all items in January 2019 increased by 3.7 percent from 114.7 in January 2018 to 119.0 in January 2019. Majority of the commodity group except for Education recorded an increment in price in January 2019 compared with the same month of the previous year. Likewise, CPI for all items slightly increased by 0.3 percent from 118.6 in December 2018 to 119.0 in January 2019.

Palay Situation Report for 2018

The total palay production in Caraga Region for 2018 expanded by 5.68 percent from 482,675 metric tons in 2017 to 510,071 metric tons in 2018. The
growth of 27,396 metric tons was attributed to the increase of 3.27 percent in area harvested from last year’s level of 155,203 hectares. Likewise,
the yield per hectare in 2018 improved from 3.11 metric tons per hectare in 2017 to 3.18 metric tons per hectare in 2018.

Fisheries Production in Caraga 2016-2018

This publication presents the data on volume and value of production of fisheries in Caraga during the three-year period. It contains information by
major species of the three (3) fisheries subsectors, namely: commercial and municipal fisheries, and aquaculture. It shows the fisheries statistics from the four (4) fisheries surveys regularly conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

Women in the Labor Force

The result of the Labor Force Survey (LFS) conducted in April 2018 shows the economic participation of women in Caraga. Of the 1,237 thousand labor
force population 15 years and over in the region, 462 thousand or 37.4 percent were women. This was higher by 3.6 percent compared with 434 thousand women in April 2017.

Consumer Price Index for all items in Caraga increased by 4.22 percent in December 2018 compared with last year’s prices of the same month, from 113.8 in 2017 to 118.6 in 2018. Majority of the commodity groups recorded an increase in December 2018 compared with the last year’s prices of the same month. On the other hand, a decrease was observed for CPI (all items) from November 2018 (119.7) to December 2018 (118.6).

Consumer Price Index for all items in Caraga increased by almost 5.56 percent in November 2018 compared with last year’s prices of the same month,
from 113.4 in 2017 to 119.7 in 2018. A decreasing trend was observed for CPI (all items) from October 2018 (120.2) to November 2018 (119.7). However, most of the commodity groups recorded an increase in November 2018 compared with the last year’s prices of the same month.

Consumer Price Index for all items in Caraga increased by almost 6.18 percent in October 2018 compared with last year's prices of the same month,
from 113.2 in 2017 to 120.2 in 2018. An increasing trend was also observed for CPI (all items) from September 2018 (119.8) to October 2018 (120.2). Moreover, almost all commodity groups recorded an increase in October 2018 compared with the last year's prices of the same month.
