The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), the central statistical authority of the Philippine government on primary data collection is conducting the Tablet-Aided Geo-tagging of Building Structures. This activity aims to come-up with accurate and reliable digitized maps, use primarily for the various censuses and surveys conducted by the office. The main purpose of conducting the geo-tagging activity is to identify and mark building structures as points in the digitized maps and attributing these buildings with the pertinent geographical information in the barangays. PSA prepares for the conduct of the Geo-Tagging of building structures .

Palay and Corn Production Survey (PCPS) is a regular quarterly activity of the Philippine Statistics Authority conducted to generate estimates and forecasts on palay and corn area, production and yield to serve as inputs for policy and programs on rice and corn. It will cover a total of 469 farming households in the entire region. The survey will generate and releases provincial and regional data on rice and corn production for April to June 2017 as reference period. PSA prepares to conduct Palay and Corn Production Survey and Backyard Livestock and Poultry Survey for July 2017 Round.

Fishery Production Survey is one of the continuing quarterly surveys of the Philippine Statistics Authority. It aims to generate information on the monthly volume and value of fish unloading by species at the provincial, regional and national levels. Fisheries outputs form part of the estimation for the performance of agriculture and eventually, of the National Accounts for the generation of GVA, GNP and GDP. The data sets generated out of this activity serve as basis for researches and policy formulation. PSA to conduct the July 2017 round Fishery Production Survey and Commercial Livestock and Poultry Survey (CLPS).

The LFS is a nationwide survey of households conducted regularly to gather data on the demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the population. It is primarily geared towards the estimation of the levels of employment and unemployment in the country. It is conducted every first month of the quarter in the selected areas in the Philippines. It aims to provide a quantitative framework for the preparation of plans and formulation of policies affecting the labor market. Specifically, the survey is designed to provide statistics on levels and trends of employment, unemployment for the country, as a whole, and for each of the administrative regions. PSA prepares for the conduct of the July 2017 Labor Force Survey (LFS) and 2017 Annual Poverty Indicators Survey (APIS).

The Consumer Expectations Survey (CES) is a household-based survey on the consumers’ assessment of their family income, financial situation, and the economic condition of the country. It is conducted on a quarterly basis and administered on a sample basis at the household level. It is a joint undertaking between the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). The PSA’s responsibility is to undertake the data collection and encoding of the questionnaires while generation of tables and analysis of the results for the BSP. PSA prepares for the conduct of the July 2017 Consumer Expectations Survey (CES).
