The activity aims to provide an estimate of the current supply and disposition practices for commercial livestock and poultry farms in all provinces within Caraga region and of the country as a whole. The data obtained from these surveys would not only benefit the national economy but most importantly the farmer beneficiaries where the agricultural development efforts of the government were focused into. Particularly, CLPS produces information on the 1.) number of livestock and poultry received/placed in the farm; 2. Disposition of livestock and poultry by intention and by area of destination; 3. current egg production, disposition and destination for duck and chicken; and 4. average weight per head of livestock/poultry disposed. Data collection for swine, layer and broiler is done quarterly while duck, goat, sheep, cattle and carabao farms are done semi-annually. For this period, survey operations will be conducted on March 26-31, 2017. Statistical researchers will go to the enterprise or farm site and interview a qualified respondent, which for the purposes of this survey. All information collected by the hired Statistical Researchers from sample commercial farms shall be kept strictly confidential and shall not be used for purposes of taxation, investigation or regulation as provided under Article 55 of RA 10625.
