The Farm Prices Survey (FPS) is a nationwide household-based survey designed to generate estimates on prices at the farm level. The output of the survey will serve as guide for policy makers in the formulation, implementation and administration of economic programs and to guide farmers/raisers in their decision making relative to their agricultural activities geared towards improvement of their profitability.
The FPS monitors farm gate prices of different crops produced and traded by the province and livestock and poultry such as carabaos, cattle, hogs, goats, chickens, ducks and eggs. Prices for pesticides are also collected in the survey. Collection of data is done monthly during the last 10 days of the month. It gathers price information for the last transaction of the sample farmer happening within the survey month.
All information collected by the hired Statistical Researchers from sample farmers shall be kept strictly confidential and shall not be used for purposes of taxation, investigation or regulation as provided under Article 55 of RA 10625.
