The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) will conduct the Quarterly Fisheries Survey. The survey aims to generate volume and value on Commercial Fisheries, Marine Municipal Fisheries, Inland Fisheries and Aquaculture production by species and by quarter at the national, regional and provincial level. The statistics generated through the conduct of these surveys will serve as input in the compilation of national accounts, researches and studies, estimation of performance of agriculture, policy making and program implementation on fisheries. The Commercial Livestock and Poultry Survey (CLPS) is one of the major quarterly agricultural surveys of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) which aim to generate primary data on supply and disposition of animals from commercial farms. The purpose of the survey is to be able to determine/measure the performance of the livestock and poultry industry. The Philippine Statistics Authority will conduct the April 2020 Round of Palay Production Survey (PPS), Corn Production Survey (CPS) and Backyard Livestock and Poultry Survey (BLPS) simultaneously in all the provinces of the region this coming April 1-10, 2020. PPS and CPS are quarterly activities designed to generate statistics on palay and corn production, area harvested, yield and other information at the provincial level. On the other hand, BLPS aims to generate data on supply and disposition of animals from backyard farms or small raisers. Results of these surveys will serve as inputs to planners and policy makers on matters concerning rice and corn industry, and livestock and poultry sub-sectors. The Philippine Statistics Authority will conduct the Monthly Palay and Corn Situation Reporting System (MPCSRS) for 2020. The MPCSRS serves as a monitoring system of the growing conditions and actual plantings of palay and corn. Moreover, the survey aims to update the Palay Production Survey (PPS) and Corn Production Survey (CPS) estimates of the current quarter based on standing crop, and estimates for the next quarter based on planting intentions. Palay and Corn Stock Survey (PCSS1) is one of the regular monthly survey conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority which aims to generate estimates of the current stocks of rice and corn in farming and non-farming households. The data generated from the survey is used to monitor stocks situation of the food staples to ensure supply and demand equilibrium, access, and price stability. It also aid policy makers in determining the quantity to be imported for food security purposes. Moreover, the survey supports the data needs of planners, policy and decision makers, and other stakeholders in the agriculture sector and the general public as well.
