Of all sample households in Caraga, 5.4 percent had a member who was or had been an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW). At the time of the survey, 5.9 percent of all households had at least one member who was currently out of the country at the time of the survey. Very few households (2.0%) had members who used to live in the household in the past five years but are now living permanently abroad (emigrants). The household population or non-institutional population of the region in 2015 Census of Population (POPCEN 2015) was 2,588,131 persons. The Philippine Statistics Authority will conduct the 2020 Quarterly Survey on Philippine Business and Industry (QSPBI). The QSPBI is one of the designated statistical activities of the PSA which aims to collect data on employment, compensation, value of production, total revenue/sales, total inventory of goods and capacity utilization. Results of the QSPBI will serve as inputs in the estimation of the Quarterly National Accounts (QNA) and Quarterly Economic Indicators (QEI), which measure the performance of the Philippine economy. This publication presents the data on volume and value of production of fisheries in Caraga during the three-year period. It contains information by major species of the three (3) fisheries subsectors, namely: commercial, municipal and aquaculture fisheries. It shows the fisheries statistics from the four (4) fisheries surveys regularly conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). The surveys are: Quarterly Commercial Fisheries Survey (QCFS), Quarterly Municipal Fisheries Survey (QMFS), Quarterly Inland Fisheries Survey (QIFS) and Quarterly Aquaculture Survey (QAqS). The region's corn production in 2019 recorded a total volume of 135,727 MT which showed 0.07 percent increase from the 135,627 MT output in 2018. The increase in production was attributed to the increase in area from the previous year’s level of 36,699 hectares to 37,817 hectares.
