The Civil Registration Month is a nationwide celebration conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) where its objective is to remind the citizenry of the duty to register acts and events concerning the status of persons, enhance nationwide awareness and appreciation of the legal, administrative and statistical values of civil registry documents. The theme for this year's Civil Registration month is "Shaping CRVS by Embracing New Trends in the 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR)." The number of marriages in 2018 has a total of 12,569. Registered marriages showed an erratic trend from 2009 to 2018, with noticeable varying of figures in 2010 to 2011 and 2017 to 2018. The recorded total number of marriages increased by 9.2 percent from 11,508 in 2017 to 12,569 in 2018. Read more about Registered Marriages, Caraga: 2018.

 

The registered live births in Caraga has an erratic trend in 2008 to 2018. It showed an increasing number from 2008 to 2010. However, it went down by 0.46 percent from 38,514 in 2010 to 38,336 in 2011. It surged again from the years 2012 to 2016 except in the year 2013. It decreases by 1.6 percent from 2016 to 2017 then it went down by 1.7 percent in 2017 to 2018. However, this does not mean that the number of babies born born in the region is on a decline, as some may have not yet been registered during the reglementary period of 30 days after the event occurred.
