The Philippine Statistics Authority will conduct the Monthly Palay and Corn Situation Reporting System (MPCSRS) for 2020. The MPCSRS serves as a monitoring system of the growing conditions and actual plantings of palay and corn. Moreover, the survey aims to update the Palay Production Survey (PPS) and Corn Production Survey (CPS) estimates of the current quarter based on standing crop, and estimates for the next quarter based on planting intentions. Palay and Corn Stock Survey (PCSS1) is one of the regular monthly survey conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority which aims to generate estimates of the current stocks of rice and corn in farming and non-farming households. The data generated from the survey is used to monitor stocks situation of the food staples to ensure supply and demand equilibrium, access, and price stability. It also aid policy makers in determining the quantity to be imported for food security purposes. Moreover, the survey supports the data needs of planners, policy and decision makers, and other stakeholders in the agriculture sector and the general public as well. Farm Price Survey (FPS) is one of the regular monthly activities of the Philippine Statistics Authority. The survey aims to gather reliable data on farmgate prices on major agricultural commodities. Similarly, the survey intends to develop sets of price indices and measures the purchasing power of growers of selected agricultural products. It also serves as inputs in analyzing the seasonal trends and variations in agricultural prices to inform policies and programs for the development of the agriculture sector. The Regional Census Coordinating Board (RCCB) of Caraga for the 2020 Census of Population and Housing (CPH) convened for the first time on November 4, 2019 at Hotel Luciana and Convention Center, J. Rosales Avenue, Butuan City. The meeting was spearheaded by the Philippine Statistics Authority-Regional Statistical Services Office Caraga (PSA-RSSO XIII) and was presided by Atty. Bonifacio G. Uy, RCCB Chairperson, and National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Caraga Regional Director. He was assisted by Dr. Rosalinda C. Apura, RCCB Executive Officer and PSA-RSSO XIII Regional Director. Out of the 31 original RCCB members, 22 were present. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) enjoined the public to support the conduct of the AWRS which will start on 13 January 2020 until 31 January 2020.The said survey is conducted to generate estimates of average wage rates of workers in agriculture such as cost of farm labor or daily wage rates of palay, corn, coconut and sugarcane farm workers in the country.
